One major factor is the DB doesn't really go into detail of what immortality means. If Goku was immortal, that doesn't necessarily mean his opponent wouldn't be able literally disarm him as immortality doesn't require regeneration and I do not believe there was any case of a human (who we know couldn't regenerate) gaining that power from immortality.. In fact Zamasu could be an example of this as his body was destroyed, but he remained (although you have the whole fusion concept to deal with there). Now, you could also use multiple wishes to basically turn Goku into a god, but that would be a whole different discussion. |
